Our Philosophy

Here at The Celtic Tossers we are Axe Throwing Obsessed! We also believe that Axe Throwing should be Done Right! Below is a little about Our Sessions and our Philosophy, In summary though, we Love Axe Throwing! We believe it should be done in a safe and fun environment with a maximum of 3 people per target to enable maximum throwing time! i.e if there are 4 of you, you’ll get 2 Targets for no extra charge! We are also one of the few venues to allow children as young as 8 years old the opportunity to try the sport!

We believe in offering a premium experience every time, our 1 hour sessions (We believe this is the minimum time for a good fun axe throwing session) will include a Master Tosser for the duration to make sure you have the best time possible! We aim to make your experience fun and exciting and we pride ourselves on helping you improve your technique!

Our Axes

To start the session, we’ll have some fun with our ninja axes, we made these ourselves as an easier but extremely fun way to introduce you to axe throwing. They also allow our younger customers (8+ Years) to successfully throw axes. After a little practise we’ll then get you into some competitions.

Then we move onto the larger hatchets, these are the axes you’ll use at every other axe throwing venue. These heavier larger axes provide a different challenge, we will teach you a number of different throwing styles and then you’ll compete to be crowned The Greatest Tosser.

We finish our sessions with a few trick shots!

Amazing!!!!
Absolutely loved our trip to the Celtic tossers today. Nicky (spelling) was brilliant!!! She was so good and funny with the health and safety briefing. She kept us engaged and gave us loads of tips on how to properly throw the ninja axes and hatchets. Playlist was also amazing 🤣 as my brother is 6’7 he unfortunately did hit the light a couple of times. She was great about that. All in all highly recommend. A great outing!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time, the safety instructions were clear and the vibes were relaxing and fun to go along to, had a few competitions amongst ourselves. The throwing knives at the start was a good warm-up and then when it came to the axes the input was very much on point about how we could throw them better but overall a wonderful experience! Fun had by all
We had an absolutely amazing time. The host was enthusiastic and made it so much fun as well as giving us individual tips on our techniques. My 11 year old daughter loved it and would definitely go back again next year. All in all a great experience that I didn’t expect to enjoy as much as I did. Good fun for the whole family
We came here last night with our three kids and their grandparents for an hour of axe throwing to celebrate our 12 year old’s birthday. We laughed from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. Axe throwing, even more fun than you'd imagine!
From the first introduction by the wonderful host / axe throwing expert, Nicky, we had a whale of a time. From the handled throwing stars (our sons favourite) to throwing 2 axes at once, it was an hour of competitiveness, concentration and laughter. Highly recommended for a family activity although we are now wondering where we can set up an axe throwing target at home!
