FAQs
Axe throwing is a fairly low impact activity but we would always encourage you consult your midwife or doctor before booking.
Unfortunately not. The noise and flying objects are not a suitable environment for pets.
The minimum age is 8 years old. There must be an adult present (the instructors don’t count) for each lane booked for children under 16.
Of course! The premises is accessible by wheelchair. If you have a disability that could be affected by throwing then please consult your doctor beforehand.
We actively encourage it! Recording some of your best throws, your scores, and to grab some photos of your group posing is a fantastic way to keep the memories of your time time Tossing!
We don’t have our own car park but there is a public car park to the rear of the building.
We strongly advise against drinking before you session. If our instructors find that you are intoxicated we will stop you from throwing to provide a safe environment for customers and staff.
Hell yeah! As long as it doesn’t restrict or hinder movement you’re all good!
Closed toed shoes are a must. Clothing that is not too restrictive and that you are comfortable lifting your arms above your head in.
We don’t think it’s fair to charge the same for each person when you have more people sharing the same target. We charge £20 each for the 2 people sharing a target, and £10 each for the 3rd and 4th person. We have a maximum of 4 people per target.
Yes, but it is limited to 2 people per target booked.
We will give you a full refund for up to 48 hours before your session.
Yes! Please email us with your requirements and we will get back to you. If you are booking the entire venue we allow catering on-site.
Short answer: Yes. Medium answer: Provided you don’t do anything stupid. Long answer: Axes can bounce back towards you, however as long as you follow the directions given by the instructor and don’t throw really hard then it is unlikely that an axe will bounce back far enough to reach the throwing line. If it does, then it’s just a jump to left (and a step to the riiiiiight).
Sessions last 75 minutes. You will be given tuition throughout on a range of different axe throwing techniques. We very much encourage competition and will have several scored rounds throughout the session. Upon arrival you will be given a safety briefing, we then start the session by by throwing our metal axes (of course we’ll add in a bit of competition on these!). Then we’ll move on to the more standard hatchets, these are the ones that are thrown worldwide.
